General Conference 4/4

 Hey guys what's going on?

This week was good, it's always hype to be a missionary during general conference. Some of my favorite talks was from my homie Dallin Oaks, Elder Soares and Elder Christofferson. They all just kinda talked about locking in and upping our game as disciples of Jesus Christ. We had some friends come to the church Sunday morning and so that was hype. They all really liked it.

Other than that, it was your average week. We are trying to find more people but the hard part is we start the day off with like 4 or 5 confirmed lessons and then they all fall through and we just don't know what to do lol. But we are seeing little miracles everyday.

We were able to talk to Pablo this week, he's a 22 year old who has been inactive for a while but wants to come back. He's super cool! He wants to serve a mission, and came to every session of conference and took notes. We had a service activity helping a family move, and then after it started pouring. But we had confirmed with Pablo and so we just send it and literally starting running through the streets in the rain. We got absolutely soaked haha. I also rolled my ankle pretty bad but it doesn't hurt anymore and it was just a fun time.

Today it was funny because we went to a big mall to pick up the suit I bought last week and we saw President and Hermana Lythgoe there! Today is President's birthday and so he was buying himself a new suit. So that was a fun little interaction. Also a little awkward because we were supposed to ask permission from him to go to the mall but we forgot 😅 but he didn't say anything haha.

Scripture of the week:

Alma 33:22-23
...cast about your eyes and begin to believe in the Son of God, that he will come to redeem his people, and that he shall suffer and die to atone for their sins; and that he shall rise again from the dead, which shall bring to pass the resurrection, that all men shall stand before him, to be judged at the last and judgment day, according to their works... And then may God grant unto you that your burdens may be light, through the joy of his Son.

A theme I noticed in the conference was definitely repentance. I liked sister Runia's talk about how heaven isn't for the perfect, it's for the forgiven. So let's just keep relying on Christ.
