Stake Conference and Last Transfer
What's up homies.
Ya so these past 2 weeks were pretty good but also weird. We had stake conference and also zone conference with Prez and the wifey.
Stake conference was fun-ish, just a long 2-hour meeting haha. But they had some good messages. But my comp and I were super tired and slept through a few talks, but we were hidden in the corner so don't worry about it.
But ya also we had the zone conference. That was fun but also strange to think that I only have one left! It was great, talking about setting goals and that the Lord is speeding up the work and we need to as well.
President announced some big changes in our mission, which will really make it like a normal mission but it's gonna be very different. For example, we have district council at 6pm on pday. So we don't work at all on pday. Now it's gonna be on Tuesday morning so we can work at 6 on pday. We also are now supposed to be out of the house by 10 in the morning! I'm really happy about that one because before we would study until literally 12 pm and then go to lunch. I just don't like being in the house for so long, so it'll be hype.
This is also now my last transfer! We just finished up week 6 and now I've got 4 weeks left. Elder Moes and I are going to stay together! We also share the ward with sisters but they both got transferred out and president is going to put in Elders and we are going to go live in the sisters old house. But ya I'm super excited to A) finish up the mission and work hard and B) go home haha.
This week was pretty normal. We had some new friends come to church! The weird thing about this area is that we can get people to church, but they only stay the first hour and then they don't come back😅😅 but it's alright.
We had a lot of family home evenings this week. One with Nancy (super cracked member) and her 3 kids with 2 of their friends, one with Nellys, her husband and Blanca, and another one with Hansel, Sebastian, and his mom and Hansel made us some hamburgers. But ya it was a good week!!
I love this scripture in 3 Nephi!
Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring them hither. Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed, or leprous, or that are withered, or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner? Bring them hither and I will heal them, for I have compassion upon you; my bowels are filled with mercy.
I just love that he says "or that are afflicted in any manner?" Because he really just wants to help and heal all of those that are willing to be healed.
Jesus is the answer.
