20 Baby
Hello everyone.
Glad to see you have nothing better to do right now than scroll through your emails. Go do something productive with your life why don't ya. Go do some service.
Anyway. Ya this week was pretty good! Well actually it was amazing! Pday was chill, some bball, backflips, and then we stayed with Elder Gallman and Diaz and Barriero and Marler overnight because we had exchanges the next day and we stayed up pretty late drinking coke and hanging out.
Then exchanges with Elder Diaz! One of my favorite misioneros for sure. We had a chill exchange, but I did make a grave mistake that day. We were visiting a member and her daughter and there were 4 of us and only 3 seats. So me (being a gentleman like my momma taught me) offered my seat and said that I can stand. But I worded it a little incorrectly.
"Do you want to sit here? My legs are very strong."
Ummm ya. I meant that I could stand up but uh ya.
This is the part where I confess my sins. Elder Gallman and Cloward came back and we ordered burgers, played some card games and it was about 2 am when I said, "you know I've never pulled an all-nighter as a missionary..." and the rest is history. We played some more card games including poker (no betting) and then around 5:45 the sun started coming up so we started playing basketball lol. But don't worry, we planned ahead. That same day we had a 7 hour bus ride to Medellin! Slept like a rock man.
We got to Medellin, they gave us pizza, saw some old comps, all that jazz. Then all the elders from my zone stayed at Elder Bond's new house! It was fun to see him again and his comp Elder Neibaur is a cool guy too. We stayed up pretty late that night too played chess and poker and just chatting. Then the next day (Friday) we had a multizona with Elder Pino (a General Authority)! He was pretty cool, pretty much just told us to be obedient and work harder and I liked it a lot. Time to put in 110%! Then we drove the bus ride home again and got home at 11:30pm! I also got to call the fam and I bought some ice cream to celebrate my bday. Thank you to those of you who sent birthday wishes!
And we had some friends come to church! Most importantly Daniela came to church and now we are planning her baptism this Saturday! Say some prayers for us.
Kind of a long email but it was a fun long week. Still trying to get the sleep schedule back lol
Pics from the week. Elders Evans, Hellwig, Bectell, and Davis and I were all in the MTC together.

Alright let's get spiritual.
"Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt."
Jesus had more faith than any of us. He was given the hardest task known to mankind. He asked in faith. But he humbled himself before his Father. I think sometimes we forget that Jesus had agency too. He could have denied the Father's will. He could have. He did not. And thanks to Him, we can receive forgiveness. We can receive strength. We can receive eternal life. Eternal families! Eternal joy. We don't deserve it. And all he asks of us is a broken heart and contrite spirit.
"Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs."
-Elder Bingham
