General Conference 3/4

 A TEMPLE IN MEDELLIN COLOMBIAAAAA!!!!!


Hello. I hope you were all able to watch all 5 sessions of conference. And if you did not, I invite you to repent. General conference was amazing!!! It was super fun and it's always super fun as a missionary to be able to hear these messages from the Lord. I know that Jesus is the answer to every problem we can ever face. Also the Prophet is goated!! Homie is a 100 years old but still giving banger talks. 

But ya, obviously super excited for the temple announcement in Medellin!! I really was not expecting it to happen for a long time and all the missionaries here are super hyped.

This week was really chill and good. I had an exchange with Elder Condori from Bolivia and it was kinda a slow day. I taught English class at the end of the day but I think I confused everyone more than I helped, but it is what it is. But it has been a super fun transfer so far with Elder Bond!

Honestly, recently I have been trying to work harder, set goals for myself, and be more diligent. But I have been failing a lot and its been getting frustrating and discouraging. This conference helped me to understand that I need to rely more on my Savior and His strength, not mine. I also learned from the conference that I really just need to stop focusing on myself and just focus on Jesus Christ, his example, and serving others. 

Alma 26:12 "Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."

Stake Conference and Last Transfer

  What's up homies. Ya so these past 2 weeks were pretty good but also weird. We had stake conference and also zone conference with Prez and the wifey. Stake conference was fun-ish, just a long 2-hour meeting haha. But they had some good messages. But my comp and I were super tired and slept through a few talks, but we were hidden in the corner so don't worry about it.  But ya also we had the zone conference.  That was fun but also strange to think that I only have one left! It was great, talking about setting goals and that the Lord is speeding up the work and we need to as well.  President announced some big changes in our mission, which will really make it like a normal mission but it's gonna be very different. For example, we have district council at 6pm on pday. So we don't work at all on pday. Now it's gonna be on Tuesday morning so we can work at 6 on pday. We also are now supposed to be out of the house by 10 in the morning! I'm really happy about that o...

Party Week

  Hey y'all how's it going. So this week was another good one! We had 2 family home evenings this week and both had a lot of friends and fun games. One was with the family Varon, mafe, los elderes, Alex and Andrea, and Helmer on Friday. Then on Sunday night we were with Maribel y Sebastian, family Varon, Nancy and her kids, and Diana y Johnny. Both super fun!!  Also on Sunday we moved houses because the rent in the house we live in is going up a ton this month, so we are switching it up. Although we were very busy, we didn't end up moving our stuff until around 10:30 at night lol. The new house is nice, with a pretty fancy couch. Our bedroom is nice cuz we have a big window that gets good airflow, natural light to make it easy to wake up, and a decent view!  But ya other than that just your average week here.   Howdy there partner. This week was a good one, just working hard to get people to come to church and get baptized so that they can recieve more joy and peace in their lives through Jesus Christ. And this week was pretty good! We had 4 people come to church this week, and most importantly Carolina came and she has a baptismal date for June 29th! Imma miss it by a few days but it's chill. But ya it was a good week. We had a fun little activity on Friday and it rained so not many people came but we had some friends pull up and we shared about how to prepare for the second coming and the book of Mormon helps us a ton. Then we played a little game and that was fun. Then had a small treat and headed home.  Also I've been enjoying a lot more fast food this past week. I've only got a few more weeks to enjoy the delicious salchipapa and buñuelos so I'm trying to live it up. We had a little family night with the family Paniagua Diaz and that was fun.
