It's a Small World After All
Hey everyone! This week was a good one!
We had transfers and so I got my new comp Elder Gutierrez! He's from Bolivia and is really cool. He brought a little chess set and it has been super fun to play chess in the house at night. Also, idk if I already mentioned it but Elder Hellwig is back in the same house as me! So that's been really fun as well. But it was a good thing we had been playing chess this week because on Saturday for our lunch we went to a member's house (who by the way is a white guy from Maine with a Colombian wife), and he whipped out his chess board to play with us. We played 2 quick games and I won one and tied the other.
But ya also had a crazy miracle! On Sunday I pull up to church and the other white guy (from Utah south jordan) walks up to me and says, "Hey we have a gift to you from Chad Condie." Like bro wha. That's my uncle. His parents came down to Colombia for the baby blessing of their grandson and about an hour before they were leaving for the airport my uncle just happened to be walking the dog and his neighbor just happened to be outside, so he stopped to talk to them. They found out that I'm serving in the same ward that their son is in, and they were coming to visit. It's a small world we live in! But I was also super grateful because obviously the Lord played a hand in that one. I have been enjoying delicious Mint Oreos and Nerd Cluster gummies.

During the sacrament I was reading in Mosiah 5 and I really liked what it said.
"12 I say unto you, I would that ye should remember to retain the name written always in your hearts, that ye are not found on the left hand of God, but that ye hear and know the voice by which ye shall be called, and also, the name by which he shall call you. 13 For how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served, and who is a stranger unto him, and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart?"
The scripture speaks for itself.
Have a good one!
