Karaoke Night
Hello!
We just got a ping pong table at the church and I've been playing for like 3 hours straight. I might have learned humility a little more on the mission, but the only homie that actually keeps it interesting is Elder Hernández. All the other chumps I'm just bored and still winning. It is what it is. We also played a game as a district in which 6 of us each take a section of the table and you have to blow the ball and if it falls on your side you are out, and you rotate like 4 square. I thought it kina sounded dumb but it ended up being super fun!
Another fun thing was that the ward had a karaoke night and it was really fun. Everyone kept asking me to sing a song in english so I picked "Beautiful Girls" off their playlist and had lots of fun. The homie Idalver stole the show though with surprise flowers for his wife as he sang her a song that translates to "Always by your side."
I also hit a solid 9 months in the mission and celebrated with ice cream and salchipapa from the hermana Miriam. A fun night with the homies, the only problem this week is that I was always kinda tired because we would stay up chit chattin. Elder Gallman and Hurtado are really fun.
I love serving in the mission, I love getting an hour to do personal study every day and I wish it was longer sometimes. Reading the scriptures just makes you feel good! I would say in the mission the part of my testimony that has grown the most is of prayer and of the prophet Joseph Smith and of the Sacrament. I've learned that prayers help us to invite and feel the Spirit, and the Joseph really restored the Church of Jesus Christ. I've always had testimonios of these things but they have grown into a big mustard tree. Also the sacrament is a great opportunity to get back on the covenant path and stay focused on what really matters. I hope you guys can keep reading the Book of Mormón every day and take the sacrament every week!
