General Conference 2/4

 Hey everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed the conference weekend! 

It was fun Saturday to just go to the church and watch conference all day and then after go to Macheticos with the boys (other Elders). We also had the baptism of Ramiro!!! It was pretty crazy. Something in his family life happened like right before but he and his dad still came! It's some serious faith. We filled up the font and had everything ready, and then the mission leader turned on the water because it "wasn't full enough" but then forgot about it. So we walked in the room and there was water aaaaalll over the floor. And in these churches the floor is tile, so we had to clean it all up with mops. But at the end of the day, he got baptized by his dad and everything worked out!




My new companion is Elder Flores from Peru, he's a great teacher and works hard. It's been going great so far! Yesterday with the elders in my house we played Risk until 2:30am haha. It was fun! 

Today we played some soccer with the zone, Egyptian Rat slap (which of course I won) and then ordered up the Dominos. I don't know if I've said this, but the Domino's is way better here. I think I already have but still. It's good stuff. 


 



This conference was great! I really liked Elder Bednar's message about building the foundation on the rock of Christ, and how we can go about doing that. I also really liked the talk about integrity. I forgot his name because I don't have my notes, but it was great! 

It was a great week! This week will be more normal but still probably lots of ice cream and Pancerotis and jugo de maracuya!  (passion fruit juice)

Stake Conference and Last Transfer

  What's up homies. Ya so these past 2 weeks were pretty good but also weird. We had stake conference and also zone conference with Prez and the wifey. Stake conference was fun-ish, just a long 2-hour meeting haha. But they had some good messages. But my comp and I were super tired and slept through a few talks, but we were hidden in the corner so don't worry about it.  But ya also we had the zone conference.  That was fun but also strange to think that I only have one left! It was great, talking about setting goals and that the Lord is speeding up the work and we need to as well.  President announced some big changes in our mission, which will really make it like a normal mission but it's gonna be very different. For example, we have district council at 6pm on pday. So we don't work at all on pday. Now it's gonna be on Tuesday morning so we can work at 6 on pday. Party Week

  Hey y'all how's it going. So this week was another good one! We had 2 family home evenings this week and both had a lot of friends and fun games. One was with the family Varon, mafe, los elderes, Alex and Andrea, and Helmer on Friday. Then on Sunday night we were with Maribel y Sebastian, family Varon, Nancy and her kids, and Diana y Johnny. Both super fun!!  Also on Sunday we moved houses because the rent in the house we live in is going up a ton this month, so we are switching it up. Although we were very busy, we didn't end up moving our stuff until around 10:30 at night lol. The new house is nice, with a pretty fancy couch. Our bedroom is nice cuz we have a big window that gets good airflow, natural light to make it easy to wake up, and a decent view!  But ya other than that just your average week here.   Howdy there partner. This week was a good one, just working hard to get people to come to church and get baptized so that they can recieve more joy and peace in their lives through Jesus Christ. And this week was pretty good! We had 4 people come to church this week, and most importantly Carolina came and she has a baptismal date for June 29th! Imma miss it by a few days but it's chill. But ya it was a good week. We had a fun little activity on Friday and it rained so not many people came but we had some friends pull up and we shared about how to prepare for the second coming and the book of Mormon helps us a ton. Then we played a little game and that was fun. Then had a small treat and headed home.  Also I've been enjoying a lot more fast food this past week. I've only got a few more weeks to enjoy the delicious salchipapa and buñuelos so I'm trying to live it up. We had a little family night with the family Paniagua Diaz and that was fun.
