Easter 1/2
Hey everyone! This week was Easter and we received transfer news! I'm staying here in Monteria and getting a new companion, Elder Flores from Peru. This week we ate some ice cream, had an exchange with Elder Hernández, and some terrible lunches!
This week was the Semana Santa (holy week), which means the food is different (horrible) and everyone leaves the city to spend some time in the pueblos and fincas. So that means pretty much all we did this week was contact people and invite them to church with little cards. And then no one came! That Easter Morning I was honestly feeling a little bit down, and during the Sacrament I started a prayer listing the reasons that I was feeling so, and then the thought popped into my head "be grateful." And so I switched my prayer around and started listing the things that I was grateful for, and felt much better. Life is good. He lives.
We also had a fun night on the exchange with Elder Hernandez with E' Hurtado and E' Martinez and I. We stayed up late as Elder Hernández explained his giant love story that ended very sad. Then Elder Martinez decided that he also would like to share his sad love story with lots of twists and turns. Then Élder Hurtado also decided to share his story! After that he played the LaLa land song on the guitar and we all went to bed. It was pretty fun I must admit.
Matthew 28:6 "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
