No More Salchipapas

 Amazing week in Colombia! Last week I bought a ukulele and its been so fun to just sit on the patio in the cool mornings/nights in my hoodie and play and sing. 




This week the sisters had a baptism and we went and like 10 minutes before all the lights went out! The sun had already gone down so everyone just pulled out phone flashlights and it was so cool. Also at the baptism I talked with Ginna for the first time since she visited the temple in Bogota!!! It was so awesome to hear and see how much she loved it.



Other than that, just a good week. Intercambios with Elder Stanley in Alpes and that was really fun too! Also I gave some money to a member and she bought me some stuff from the temple hahaha. Also I ate salchipapas and the next day my stomach was a wreck.

I've been meaning to share this scripture for a while now. I really love it.
John 15:12-15 
"12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you."

Talking to the fam


It was so fun when Tyler clicked in to join the call and standing next to him was Coleman (they were in choir), who had his missionary brother and one of Luke's best friends- Ryder, on the phone!  This lasted just a few seconds, but it was such a fun, unexpected surprise!

Stake Conference and Last Transfer

  What's up homies. Ya so these past 2 weeks were pretty good but also weird. We had stake conference and also zone conference with Prez and the wifey. Stake conference was fun-ish, just a long 2-hour meeting haha. But they had some good messages. But my comp and I were super tired and slept through a few talks, but we were hidden in the corner so don't worry about it.  But ya also we had the zone conference.  That was fun but also strange to think that I only have one left! It was great, talking about setting goals and that the Lord is speeding up the work and we need to as well.  President announced some big changes in our mission, which will really make it like a normal mission but it's gonna be very different. For example, we have district council at 6pm on pday. So we don't work at all on pday. Now it's gonna be on Tuesday morning so we can work at 6 on pday. Party Week

  Hey y'all how's it going. So this week was another good one! We had 2 family home evenings this week and both had a lot of friends and fun games. One was with the family Varon, mafe, los elderes, Alex and Andrea, and Helmer on Friday. Then on Sunday night we were with Maribel y Sebastian, family Varon, Nancy and her kids, and Diana y Johnny. Both super fun!!  Also on Sunday we moved houses because the rent in the house we live in is going up a ton this month, so we are switching it up. Although we were very busy, we didn't end up moving our stuff until around 10:30 at night lol. The new house is nice, with a pretty fancy couch. Our bedroom is nice cuz we have a big window that gets good airflow, natural light to make it easy to wake up, and a decent view!  But ya other than that just your average week here.   Howdy there partner. This week was a good one, just working hard to get people to come to church and get baptized so that they can recieve more joy and peace in their lives through Jesus Christ. And this week was pretty good! We had 4 people come to church this week, and most importantly Carolina came and she has a baptismal date for June 29th! Imma miss it by a few days but it's chill. But ya it was a good week. We had a fun little activity on Friday and it rained so not many people came but we had some friends pull up and we shared about how to prepare for the second coming and the book of Mormon helps us a ton. Then we played a little game and that was fun. Then had a small treat and headed home.  Also I've been enjoying a lot more fast food this past week.
