Feliz Año!

 Wow I haven't written an email since last year!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Last week was a busy Pday, didnt have the time to make an email. We went to like a big park with a petting zoo and played soccer and volleyball. We also stayed the night of Dec 31 with Elder Evans and Mozombite.  The new year is a really big deal here. There was a bunch of fireworks that went off like crazy, like everywhere. We played Uno and made a cake.   So that was really fun. 
This week I got my haircut and uhhh next time I'll make sure my barber really understands what I'm asking for... I told the homie I wanted a level 3 on the sides and leave the top. He then grabbed the 0 and I thought he was going to cut my sideburns a little but then he cut like 2 inches above. So now I'm the gringo rocking the South America cut. One member told me now I just need lightning bolts on my sides and an eyebrow slit.  (see attached video)





2 exchanges this week! Elder Martinez and Elder Evans, I stayed in Cuba for both of them. Super fun and super cool guys.
D&C 31: 11-13

Elder Salas said that Satan loves the word "but." For example: "I want to go to church, but..." "I was going to read the scriptures, but..." 
Also Ginna got her temple recommend today and bore her testimony!! The Spirit was so strong as she read Helaman 5:12. It's just so cool to think that she has really been searching for the truth her whole life. She told us today during lunch about alllll these different churches she has been to. But she had the determination to read the Book of Mormon to see if it was the Word of God, and now she has one of the strongest testimonies I've ever heard.

Super fun 2 weeks. Elder Salas goes home this week and I'm staying here with Elder Briggs! He gets here Wednesday.

Stake Conference and Last Transfer

  What's up homies. Ya so these past 2 weeks were pretty good but also weird. We had stake conference and also zone conference with Prez and the wifey. Stake conference was fun-ish, just a long 2-hour meeting haha. But they had some good messages. But my comp and I were super tired and slept through a few talks, but we were hidden in the corner so don't worry about it.  But ya also we had the zone conference.  That was fun but also strange to think that I only have one left! It was great, talking about setting goals and that the Lord is speeding up the work and we need to as well.  President announced some big changes in our mission, which will really make it like a normal mission but it's gonna be very different. For example, we have district council at 6pm on pday. So we don't work at all on pday. Now it's gonna be on Tuesday morning so we can work at 6 on pday. We also are now supposed to be out of the house by 10 in the morning! I'm really happy about that o...

Party Week

  Hey y'all how's it going. So this week was another good one! We had 2 family home evenings this week and both had a lot of friends and fun games. One was with the family Varon, mafe, los elderes, Alex and Andrea, and Helmer on Friday. Then on Sunday night we were with Maribel y Sebastian, family Varon, Nancy and her kids, and Diana y Johnny. Both super fun!!  Also on Sunday we moved houses because the rent in the house we live in is going up a ton this month, so we are switching it up. Although we were very busy, we didn't end up moving our stuff until around 10:30 at night lol. The new house is nice, with a pretty fancy couch. Our bedroom is nice cuz we have a big window that gets good airflow, natural light to make it easy to wake up, and a decent view!  But ya other than that just your average week here.   Howdy there partner. This week was a good one, just working hard to get people to come to church and get baptized so that they can recieve more joy and peace in their lives through Jesus Christ. And this week was pretty good! We had 4 people come to church this week, and most importantly Carolina came and she has a baptismal date for June 29th! Imma miss it by a few days but it's chill. But ya it was a good week. We had a fun little activity on Friday and it rained so not many people came but we had some friends pull up and we shared about how to prepare for the second coming and the book of Mormon helps us a ton. Then we played a little game and that was fun. Then had a small treat and headed home.  Also I've been enjoying a lot more fast food this past week. I've only got a few more weeks to enjoy the delicious salchipapa and buñuelos so I'm trying to live it up. We had a little family night with the family Paniagua Diaz and that was fun.
