We stay humble we devour!

Im not in danger. I am the danger.

Hello.

The week was very good. Worked super hard and we had a baptism on Friday! So full of the Spirit and so amazing that I get to be a part of it! Her name is Dayanna Monroy and her husband is a member and they have 3 very adorable kids all under 4 years old.

mi hermano Luis Fernando, the ward mission leader

Funny stuff:

Apparently my comp was a professional clash royale player before his mission!! Like he seriously made money from it. Not much, but he said like $250 a month. Thats my goal after my mission. Little side hustle so i can buy a moto like everyone else here.

It's common for family or friends to call each other "negro/a." We were having a lesson and the lady's sister showed up and she said "hola negra!" And i was very confused because they are not black lol.

Also we were about to do our daily planning in the morning, and my companion set the phone on the desk (like half on half off) and we knelt to say a prayer but he bumped the table and the phone fell and the screen popped off! We only have one phone and no other Elders in the house. Luckily there was a shop nearby that could fix it though. But we went a few hours without a phone! Felt like the olden days.

Spiritual stuff:

I made that goal to finish the Libro de Mormón before December right? Well this week I realized I had really started just "speed reading" and not understanding much or learning much. So I've decided to take my time and after each chapter think about what I read, how it applies to me, and what can I do today to apply it. Its way better haha.

Favorite Scripture this week: Heleman 5:12

"...recordad que es sobre la roca de nuestro Redentor, el cual es Cristo, el Hijo de Dios, donde debéis establecer vuestro fundamento... a causa de la roca sobre la cual estáis edificados, que es un fundamento seguro, un fundamento sobre el cual, si los hombres edifican, no caerán."

Also the zone leaders told me yesterday that I need to be on their team today in fútbol. So ya I'm pretty good.

Pictures from the week:
This lunch cost 10 million pesos, which is the equivalent of about $3 US money.

These 4 men in front were the first missionaries to serve in my area (Pereira) 50 years ago!

Good stuff brethren. Don't be lazy.
