I'm Spiderman

"Being Spider-man is a sacrifice, that's the job, that's what you signed up for" -Miguel O'Heara

Have you ever seen me and Spider-man in the same room? Therefore proof that I am Spider-man.
I leave for Colombia this week! Very hype.
Funny stuff:
  • Elder Bottari and I went to Stanley to do some work (which is an hour away from Challis and in the middle of nowhere) and I reeaally had to pee. So we pulled over at a "lodge" that was actually just a bar and when we walked in a guy at a table said "No way!! The Elders are here? Right on, right on" and then gives us a fist bump. Although there were a few cuss words mixed in. Apparently no Elder's had visited the bar ever. It seems like a great spot to find some people who need the Gospel to me!
  • We went to lunch with the Elders in Arco we got burgers! First of all let me just say that as missionaries we are broke and don't get much spending money. So afterwards Elder Bottari paid the waitress and the options of tip were the classic 15, 20, 25 and she just stares at him. He then presses "No Tip" and she shakes her head at us and we just walked out laughing. To be fair she literally did nothing and just asked what we wanted and then we waited for forever even though the restaurant had like nobody.
Spiritual Stuff:
  • I studied President Nelson's talk and looked for the promises that he gives us as we "think celestial" and it was a good study! You should re-listen to it bro! I also learned 2 other things as I studied his talk.
  • (Here they are): Things that require faith, build faith. And people lose their testimonies because they do not have the Spirit with them. We need the Spirit to be a constant companion to confirm the truth to us!
  • The reason I mention the spiderman thing is because it's just like being a disciple of Christ!! But the difference is the sacrifice we make, we get a whole lot more in return.

Pics from the week:

I'm excited to go to Colombia!! I'm also excited to leave Challis, because it kinda sucks here. No one likes us for some reason! But don't get me wrong I've been super happy and having a good time. Colombia! My next email might be all in Spanish because I'll probably be fluent by then.
