Another day another dollar

 Hello reader, how art thou?

Unfortunately I did not actually acquire any dollars. And I will not be for the next 2 years. But hey that means I don't have to pay tithing suckers.
This week I had 2 exchanges, but for both I stayed in Challis. I was with Elder Byington and Elder Parrott and it was good. Good stuff. I also gave a blessing of healing or whatever it's called and I was very nervous but I felt the Spirit a ton. Very cool experience. We also got our breakfast paid for today again (happened last week too) and so I think I'm just going to start ordering some extra stuff to help them help me more. I know, I know, so kind of me to let others serve more.

        Funny-ish Stuff:
1. Everyone here grows their own food. We had hamburgers and they told us "We raised the beef ourselves, the tomatoes are from our garden, and we asked the neighbors (who are like .5 miles away) for the lettuce. Dig in!" and at another dinner there was this old lady who tried to force me to eat tomatoes plain because "they are just so good! You can't get them this fresh from the store, we grew this out back in our garden!"
2. We are teaching this lady named Elizabeth from Nicaragua in Spanish so that is fun. Her husband got baptized at the end of July, but her and her son are really close but still a little hesitant to leave the Catholic church. But she refuses to have us over without feeding us! So when we want to meet with her, we have 2 dinners. One at 5 pm with some members and then we leave and go have more dinner at their house at 6:15. I don't talk much during the lessons because she talks in Spanish and has already had the basic lessons, so it is deeper doctrinal stuff that I have no idea how to answer, but it is good practice to listen! Colombia in 3 weeks!
        Spiritual-ish Stuff:
1. This week I have done an extremely deep dive on the topic of grace. It has been super cool and I have learned muchisimo. I have created a visual to help remind myself how grace works (to my understanding so far). It's pretty deep so try not to get lost. I really liked this quote from Elder Uchtdorf in The Gift of Grace, (talking about the scripture 2 Nephi 25:23 with the "we are saved by grace, after all we can do) "I am certain Nephi knew that the Savior’s grace allows and enables us to overcome sin. This is why Nephi labored so diligently to persuade his children and brethren 'to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God.' After all, that is what we can do! And that is our task in mortality!"

2. We sang "I believe in Christ" in sacrament and I really liked this little line in the 3rd verse. "I believe in Christ, so come what may...". Pretty inspiring. I believe in Christ, so Colombian Cartels better watch out. I believe in Christ, so cocaine addicts here I come.
Also, this is mostly just for me to remember, but my 2 favorite cousins are soon(ish) going to be my 3 favorite cousins because my aunt is expecting! My mind was blown. Lincoln and Benji are my best buddies back in Arkansas, and I miss them more than I miss you. Sorry about it.
